Myonline life and persona vs. my real life persona
Iam shy and have very few friends in my real life. In addition tothat, I tend to less confident in my real life interactions. I findmy online interactions more fun than my real life interactions. Notonly has the online platform ensured that I have a desirable numberof friends, but the privacy and elimination of the face to faceinteractions has made it possible for me to ooze confidence wheninteracting with others. This paper discusses the differences betweenmy online and offline interactions.My online life and persona isvery different from my real life persona.
Iam less talkative in real life when compared to my online life. Ifind the online community easy to interact and talk to. I easilyexpress my feelings and opinions online without fearing what otherswould think of me and my views. In addition to that, I tend to postonline status as well as comment on other posts more frequently andfreely than I comment on other people’s opinions and statements inreal life. I find it easy to make friends online than in real life.This means that I have more online friends than real life friends.Having more online friends and preferring online interactions overreal life interactions means that I spend most of my time on my phoneand computer catching up with my online buddies.
Iam a shy person in real life. Not only do I fear talking in public,but I find it hard to keep a conversation with people I deem waycooler than me. This is not the case in my online interaction. Thefact that we cannot see each other face to face in onlineinteractions has made it possible for me to interact with others moreconfidently. I am Outgoing when online and quite introversive in reallife. In my online interactions, I am usually open to my friendsabout the things that most interest me and my vision of the future.This is not the case in my real life where I like keeping things tomyself. My introversive nature in real life has made it hard for meto widen my circle of friends, but my online friends keep growingeach other day.
Iam very concerned about my privacy in real life. I like it when myprivacy is respected and hate it when a person invades my privacy. Myprivate issues are usually kept secret in my real life. However, inmy online life, I tend to be less concerned about my privacy. Ieasily express what I am feeling and even spill a few of my secretsin my blogs and micro-blogs. Apart from that, I tend to be wayaggressive in my online interactions than in my real life. I amalways ready to engage in debates online, most of which end up beingheated debates. In addition to that, tend to be ready to offercriticism as well as be criticized. This is very different in my reallife where I usually maintain a low profile during discussions.
Inconclusion, my online life and persona is very different from my reallife persona. I am more aggressive when online than in real life andthe number of friends I have online is higher than those I have inreal life. In addition to that, I am more talkative and ready toengage in debates in my online interactions. This is not the case inmy real life where I am shy and less talkative.
