With theincreasing debate on the type of meal that essential to an overweightor obese person to take and improve their situation without anyhealth risk, calls nutritionists for urgency in reviewing thismatter. Most importantly, there are two primary classifications ofmeals, essential to an individual in is dire need of losing weight.These are diet food and low calorie meals. The meal one takes isdependent on the needs of that individual. With the increasing needto prefer a diet that is not only delicious, but of nutritionalbenefit, many people face challenges in understanding the theoriesconnected with certain meals. Diet food and calorie food are anessential element of the diet that that people intended to loseweight for body fitness. Good health begins from what people take asa meal.

The research theme explores nutrition for an individual who intendsto lose weight for fitness or health concern. There are two mealssuch a person may be prescribed to, diet food and low calorie food.In order to realize what is composed of these types of meals, thereis a general theoretical overview of their definition and theoreticalarguments regarding them. It also explores on their imports to anindividual’s body and their relations to a sound lifestyle. Thispaper centers on the influence of diet food and low calorie food toan individual’s general health and fitness making somerecommendations regarding the meal ought to be considered.
Different meals are in different classes depending on theirinfluences to individual bodies. Such influence is caused by theirnutritional requirements and their role in the human body (U.S.Department of Health and Human Services, 2012). Low calorie dietcould be used as a meal replacement to help in managing weight. Anexample of such a meal is salads. This diet may be applied to peoplewho are obese to help them in weight loss and body fitness. Agreeingto These meals are easier to use as compared to very low caloriemeals (VLCD). Low calorie meals (LCD) provide the client with amountof calories of energy to that help in getting rid of excess fats.Vegetables are one of the most common form of LCD that has positiveeffect on an obese person. After a long period of use, vegetablemeals lead to weight loss, but not as VLCD.
Well known as dietetic food, diet food are characterized by analtered recipe to ensure that they are providing the body with amodified diet available for the body to facilitate it in weight loss.In addition, diet food can be in form of peals such as Xenical,Meridia and Adipex-P. They are prepared with the main intention ofweight loss and changing the body type or fitness. These types offood replaces the sugars with low energy substitutes that help thebody in losing excess fats (Altschul, 1993). It is viewed that weightloss can be managed while one is controlling hunger. Awell-structured format that determines the calorie intake and theirrate of conversion in individual body to maintain a healthylifestyle. This is done by scheduling the type and time that specificmeal or pill should be taken.
The operation of low calorie food varies from one obese situation toanother. Application of low calorie diet and diet food is anefficient means of controlling calories while controlling hunger aswell. Both qualitative and quantitative methodologies are applicableto determining the strength and the number of calories one takes in agiven time. Quantitative method involve determining the actual amountone takes and the number of calorie expected.
On the other hand, qualitative methods determines the level ofimportance and effect a meal has. The measurements to confirm theeffectiveness of weight loss plan is determined by the number ofcalories lost and the state of the physical body of the client. Thesevalues can be worked out and conclusion made from it. With lowcalorie and diet food meal plan, quality is more emphasized more thanquantity. These observable characteristics and measured values arethe mainly applied in this research activity.
After a critical review of these methods, it was found out that useof either diet food or low calorie meals is an effective way ofmanaging weight loss. Consumption of high energy diet such as friedfood that is featured by high fat content is a major cause ofobesity. With a diet of low fat content like fruits, vegetables andwhole grains have a better chance to influence their body weightloss. In addition, from the surveys, it agreed that consuming theright food may be effective in maintaining a healthy body that isfree from obese cases. The type of food one take influences thehealth of that person due to the amount of each nutrient consumed.Meal planning is scheduling out a personal menu for a day, week, or amonth. Meal plan was found to be an effective way to ensure that thedesired results are obtained in a sample of food consumed by aperson.
It is a scheduled guided that analysis the food a client has to takeat a particular time. For example, it could include a pineapple, tea,bread every morning and salad in the mid-morning. It is importantbecause it allows the client to take the food they intended, butprovides them with the desired proportion of nutrients. Meal plansare usable by anyone who intend to follow a certain schedule, intheir diet that helps them keep healthy. It comprises of a foodexchange system is a practice that involve substituting one meal foranother and that consist of the recommended number of servings(Bobroff, 2002).
Even though these formulas have been successful for a number ofpeople, there are other measures that should not be ignored. Tofacilitate the process of weight loss, frequent taking of water isessential in maintaining the cells’ turgidity and in detoxifyingthe harmful substances that the body excretes. A lot of water isrequired to help the body getting rid of these toxins. Furthermore,physical exercises help in ensuring that no fat is stored as theexcess sugars are converted to provide energy to the body tofacilitate the process of calories loss. Frequent and regularexercises encourage the body to lose the extra amount of energy thatis not essential to individual bodies. It is also notable that fruitsand vegetables are consumed in the right contents. These are thesource of components that are used by the body in fighting againstdiseases by boosting the immune system of a person.Vegetables is a good example of a meal that strengthens the immunesystem and has been prescribed for those under weight loss programCampbell & Campbell, 2013).
It is essential to understand the theories and observations made inthe paper. With critical review on diet and calorie food, there isevidence that good health begins from what people eat. They areessential in an individualistic society, especially in an era whereyoung adult are fighting obesity in their lives. Finally, drawingfrom the challenges that are experienced, comprehensive research isessential on such diet to make them affordable and quality to providethe desired results. The paper has proved that meal plan in diet foodand calorie food consumption is important.
